What inspired your decision to join the real estate industry and what excites you about your career?
I was looking for a career change from hospitality and decided to join the real estate industry because of my interest in property, home improvements, interior design and making our house a home. I love that the real estate industry is so dynamic and that no two days are the same. I enjoy working as a team, helping co-workers as well as helping clients find a place to call home.
What is a brief summary of your working history?
I’m a chef by trade and have worked in a number of restaurants and cafes over 12 years, and was looking for a career change. I started working in Property Management assisting with the daily procedures as well as fulfilling the Leasing Management role. I then had different job opportunities, also worked for myself, and after a while, my new career started… I became a mum and I love it! Now it’s time for me to return to the workplace and a fantastic opportunity presented itself at Professionals Cairns Beaches, where my partner Michael also works. I’m excited for this new chapter and am looking forward to returning to the workplace.
Where did you grow up and why do you now choose to live in Cairns?
I was born in the Philippines and grew up in a small coastal town in Portland, Victoria. I always found Victoria to be freezing cold and always wanted to relocate to a warmer place, I guess that’s in my blood! I met my partner Michael in Victoria and we first relocated to Coffs Harbour, NSW. After about a year, we were still chasing the warmth and finally relocated to Cairns in 2010. We haven’t looked back!
What are your hobbies and interests?
My little family; Michael and I have a beautiful daughter and two fur babies who we love to spend our time with. I love all things cooking, nutrition and fitness. I enjoy the beach, exploring in nature and going on hikes, as well as spending time with family and friends with a glass or 2 of red wine.
